Cancer Informatics for Cancer Centers Fall Symposium
- TBA
The meeting addresses the theme, “Translational Sciences and Precision Medicine for the 21st Century: Challenges and Directions.” As data scientists working in the cancer field, we are all affected by the rapid pace of technological evolution and knowledge discovery. This is not a new observation. “Science is evolving at an incredible pace. It’s a revolutionary period. The fundamental change is that biomedical science has converged…” This is a quote from Dr. Elias Zerhouni in The New York Times, (July 15, 2003) at the close of his first year as NIH director. The pace has not slowed, however it seems that fundamental revolution in understanding of cancer eludes us and appears always five years out on the horizon. How can we as cancer informatics leaders transform the use of data to enable cancer translational research?
Ravi Madduri, Globus Genomics product manager, will present "Globus Genomics: Democratizing NGS Analysis" as part of the panel discussion, "Informatics for Molecular Diagnosis. Genomics, Proteomics, Pathways, Biomarker Informatics, NGS and Data Sharing."
